dude!!! Do it yourself, or with the help or a friend
bolting up the new manual t case and driveshafts is a cake walk, fill with fluid and your good to go! the hard part is getting the linkage setup and cutting the hole in the floor, making a boot, etc

What parts EXCATLY have you collected? we need to make sure you are ready to do the conversion, wish I was closer :)

cant

well all my tools we stolen while i was on vacation, and i have no garage and its 25-35F outside. i have to go out of town with the truck next week family emergency. Its a complete wrecked 94 explorer 4.0. The linkage, and drive shaft are there. The t-case was the shelf at the yard, what else i need. Dont care to much about the boots and knobs till later after i get back

if anyone can do this, call me ASAP!!!!!!
im leaving to run some errands so call me if you can work this into your schedule

tools you need, some sort of 13mm aparatus, 3/8 wrench with 13mm or a 13mm wrench, and a 12pt 12mm socket and 1/2 drive to take the drive shaft off, and some tinsnips to cut the floor. it honestly will only take you about 3hrs MAX.

oh yeah, some kind of drain pain to catch fluid. just bundle up if you do it outside. LOL

but really though, maybe you could talk to IZ or blee and see if they can help, they are up in MD. what part of NOVA are you from?

you can always bolt up the t case and d shafts, and save the Gem module mods, and shift linkage for later
if you need 4x4 just get under the truck and shift it with your hand

You can do this in like 2-3 hours with basic hand tools and a pump for the new ATF

ok im gonna try it.

can someone show me a list with part numbers of everything ill need to make this swap go smooth. i havent seen a write up on the 4405 to manual 1354, so i didnt know where to look. Which Drive shaft do i need from which vehicles and i just cut the floor correct when i go to install the linkage and etc?

you need rtv to make a new gasket in between tcase and trans. to do the shifter you actually need to take out the interior and modify the trans shifter plate, not hard at all to do. just cut a hole in the left hand side of it.

the shaft you need has to come from a 95-97 explorer. you said you have the linkage and everything right?

nevermind, might get one of ur guys to do it, talking right now.

yeah its a full swap that came from a 94 explorer. So i need the 95-97 front dshaft, my explorer is a 97 sport. So i can use my factory replacement dshafts in that case.......correct?

doesnt look like no one can do it. But i still would like to offer this job to someone that is capable of doing the swap. i dont have the time. Gotta Fly but let me know if anyone is interested,Thanx

umm $60 and that would cover an extension housing gasket ($5) and transmission fluid (prob $10 total)

whats goin on with the case again?

is it that easy you swap out 4405 auto to a 1354 manual that you'd do it for $$60?

yea, its easier for me cause ive dropped my case 3 times, twice in the last week! if you wanted me to put in the linkage and everything it would be more since the interior needs to come out.

but it really isnt hard, its just more of making sure you have the right stuff.
