Just a thought on why the posts have gone from wheelin' pics to modification posts... could it be that the 'simpler' older model Xs are going out of commission and all us kids are getting these impossible IFS trucks? I mean, its not pratical for most of use to take are daily drivers and do a SFA swap, and so we are stuck with expensive and technical IFS lifts, equipment, computer crap, etc. I think one of the problems is you have a sudden influx of the newer Xs that newbs like me have, and would like to do things with, but gotta ask the Qs and do the mods first! Another thing is this site needs more publicity. Mabey I wasn't looking hard enough.. but I couldn't find an explorer resource half as good as this for MONTHS of searching. When I found this I was ecstatic... far and away the best for an explorer owner... and the people give a damn!
I'm glad I found it, and I love telling explorer owners about it.

Keep up the good work, and get through this influx of new cars and memebers... and I think there will be plenty of good stories to go around!

Just my thougts,
-----Nate

I just noticed this thread. I miss a lot on the board nowadays. I don't have internet access at home and can only check in at work during off-times, so once I get on, I check my forums and breeze through the "Posts since last logon" to see if any subjects jump out at me and grab my interest. I'm often in a hurry and cannot stay on long enough to look at everything going on here.

Rick, I ALWAYS check your threads and reports, they are ALWAYS interesting to me. But I've gotten to where if I don't have anything to add or something smarta$$ to contribute, I don't pad my posts with a simple "nice job" or "good writeup" or something like that. I now recognize that all of us - including you - appreciate a little confirmation and support on our threads. I know I enjoy it when people respond to mine. Maybe when I have time later I'll go back and do some post padding on all of your reports :D

Robb, here's a couple of Pumpkin flex shots on the Golden Crack from this year's Moab trip.

I thought I'd post photos of Rick since he needs a little encouragement here :D but I have photos from several of the trailruns I have participated in. Check 'em out at Dead Link Removed

I do miss the trip reports and writeups. I get more pleasure reading those than anything else on this website - the fellowship and comraderie experienced with this group during a major outing is something I always look forward to with great anticipation, and miss when I cannot join. As a matter of fact, even when I am too busy to spend much time on this board, when I do check in quickly to monitor the two forums I moderate, the one other forum I always look at is the Trail Runs forum, to see what is going on and read the trip reports.

Rick, please know that you are very appreciated - especially your photos and writeups  :chug:
 :D

nice pics and stories guys.

Ricks rig = crazy

Seein those pics I wish my X was 4x4.

As to not replying in threads, I usually only reply with a question or comment that hasnt been metioned a few times. Personally I hate to open a thread with 9million replies consisting of only smilies

That top pic is awesome. Rick's truck still makes me:eek:

Gerald,
Thank you for the link! You got some great shots. I especially like the pics at GWNF, since that will be my nearest "playground." Thanks Again!

I have to agree, that top pic of Rick's rig is just crazy. It gives the impression that his front wheels have a mind of their own. No matter where the truck is or how it is situated, they just keep reaching til they find something to grip to. Impressive as always!

Robb

98FordX24, how about some identification in this photo? Who is who?

Ok folks, if I could just have your attention for one minute. If you direct your attention over to the left side of the photo, you will see Matt (Dasfrem) standing on his 97 Sport. In the center we have Chris (Lizardtrac) standing on the roof of his 98 sport and way back on the right side of the picture you will notice Shaun (Muskrat) on his 97 Ranger STX (I think). This was at Paragon on Oct. 11 or 12. Had a great time on the run, but it has not convinced me to lift mine. :p
