Can I replace Ignition Switch and Keys?

Hi Everyone

Well my '99 Explorer is still sitting at the Auto Electricians and he's gone on holidays so I wasn't able to ask him this question.
Would it be a problem to replace the whole ignition switch and keys with those of a wreck? Thought it might be worth a try as the anti-theft light still continues to flash and it wont start.

No. The chip in the key has to be programmed into the PATS system. I'm not very familiar with the system but its almost certainly something a dealer has to do.
