Can it be done?

Hey guys, i was just curious, could one use DJM drop kit for a 1998-2001 Ranger, since it seems to have a torsion suspension, and use it on a 1997 Explorer XLT?
I'm looking to lower mine. I've read that one could just back the bolts/keys on the torsion bars, but it looks like the DJM kit gets it lower.

it will only go so low than the bumpstops come into play, as you will be at the lower limit ,

I understand that it'll only go so far without cutting bump stops, or the frame. I was wondering if the parts for the Rangers would fit on my Explorer. I'm worried that lowering the truck could damage the frame, and/or suspension components. It seems the kit would drop the truck 'correctly'

it looks to me like the kit they offer has coil springs in it,, if it does, it won't work on the torsion bar front end you have on the 97 Explorer,,

you can let the torsion keys off some, but you need an alignment afterwards,, it will mess up the camber caster , and toe settings

Belltech(I believe that's the name) offers lowering springs, and shocks to boot for Explorers, so I blew that off thinking it was the same thing. I knew I'd need an alignment, and camber bolts.
On the plus side I guess, it should be cheaper to lower the Explorer than some, if not most coilover cars.
