the 235 means 235 millimeters wide (at the rim). the 70 means 70% of the 235 millimeters tall. 16" rim. Yes, you can get fatter tires, 245 or 255s. Ask your local tire shop guy, he'll hook you up.

thanks man.. wew there went a load off... ill praise you for hours until i find out the price then probably sh!* my pants cause i probably wont have enough... haha anyway thanks alot

BTW, look at eBay for your aftermarket wheels. See if you can find some nice ones near where you live (b/c shipping can get high).

Also, VERY IMPORTANT, make sure to check out the backspacing of any wheels you look at. It is a simple mistake that can cost you a lot!

thanks for the info that could have been really bad for me

235/70 16
take the first number (235) divide that by 25.4
=235/25.4 = 9.25
9.25 is the width of the tire
take 70% of 9.25
which is equal to 6.48", that is the height of the side wall
take that number, multiply it by 2 and add it to 16 (rim size) and you will get the overall height of the tire
(6.48)(2)+16= about 30"

so the actual tire size is 9.25" wide and 30" tall

holy crap i got that but it took me a while... thanks

Thank You ChuckyD for putting that into English for me. It too late for that much math for me!
Thanks,
Robb

No problem... i used that math when i was going tire shopping, It came in handy the most b4 i went to the tire shop. I was able to find out what the biggest tire i could get on it, then i worked back from there.

whatever tires you put on those rims are gonna look sweet. those are real nice rims.
