Hey all,
I was hoping someone could spend a couple of minutes under their explorer for me to measure a couple of things...
I need to know what the height is from the ground to the top of the chassis, in the area roughly where the driver sits. Stock ride height on an AWD V8 would be prefered. This would be for figuring out cab/ride height on a stock chassis.
Also someone with a dropped (not a crazy drop, just the torsion stuff) Exp measure the same thing ?
I am researching the possbility of putting a 1951 Ford F1 cab onto an Exp. some of you may remember me posting about this a while ago.
So far I know the width isn't an issue, the cab is wide enough (about 59 inches) to take either a 1996-2001 OR a 2001 - 2005 chassis. (the chassis has to sit inside the area of the cab, and can't stick out to where the running boards are)
I also know the wheelbase of the F1 standard is 114 inches, which also works well since a 2000 4dr is about 111.6 and a later one 113.7 so either will work.
Thanks all !
