Can someone tell me what this part is called?

2002 Ford Explorer XLT
It is the part that rests, or butts up to, the transfer case on the front drive shaft. It has bearings inside. I need to know what this part is called and also if it can be replaced or rebuilt or if I am going to just have to get a whole drive shaft.

Are you referring to the slip yoke?

Maybe? I was reading through some more of this site and I found a link to car-parts.com. I was able to find a front drive shaft about a half hour from me for $60 so I think that is the route we are going to go...just replace it and be done.
 






Sounds like the CV joint or 'CV Head' on the driveshaft.
