Can spring tension on wipers be adjusted?

My passenger side windshield wiper is barely touching the windshield. There doesn't seem to be much tension in the arm.

Is there a way to adjust the spring tension in the wiper arm?

I don't think so, they're not a progressive spring. I do know that the tension on my Gen II wiper arms seemed to be higher than on my Gen III...

I'd stop by a used car lot, and try a few of them there- to see if yours are indeed worse.

I think you're right Joe.

I see a couple of holes in the metal just above the hook at the end of the spring. I might try stretching the hook up into one of the holes.
