The TPS is an electric sensor.
I do not suggest cleaning it
remove the throttle body, spray it with throttle body cleaner and wipe it clean, make sure you open the butterfly valve and get all the grime off. remove the vacuum lines, throttle cable, and TPS before you get it wet (so remove it from the truck)
They suggest not cleaning the throttle body, it says right on it from the factory it is equipped with a special coating, do not clean, I have ignored that sticker for years, mine are clean....
I have used Superclean, brake clean, throttle body and intake cleaner, heck soap and water will work too
