Cannot reinstall Front brakeline clip

I removed the atrocity of a front brakeline clip. Now that I have my hose ready to install, I cannot get the clip back on. Any tricks?
 






Sand all the rust off, and you may need to bend the clip a bit. Get it lined up and hit it with a small hammer and flat punch.
