I love you guys, but hate posting here. Posting here = problems. Problems = money. I don't have money. But enough playing.
This morning, I started my Ex up and let it run for about 1-2 min. Very slight squeak, but my serpentine belt was pretty shot so that had to be changed. And basically long story short, on my way to school the truck had many different squeaks and chirps the whole way and back. Came home and changed the belt since no matter what, I needed a belt. Why not kill two birds with one stone? Got a decent belt and started it right up to hear the same exact squeak. ARRGGH!! To try and troubleshoot, I took the belt off everything; the alternator, tensioner, etc. and still heard the squeak. The only thing is, it seems to get quieter and less frequent as the engine warms. The squeak comes and goes and every time I touch something, it goes away or doesn't last as long.
Another long story short, it's not anything to do with the front of the motor since I have a new belt and ran the truck without everything too. I even sprayed stuff with carb cleaner to check for vacuum leaks, but none of those either. I wanna say its from the rear of the engine like by the trans dipstick, but the truck was warm so the squeak was quick and not too often. No clue what to do or check and its extremely frustrating to have another "wait till it gets worse or something goes wrong." I know that's how it goes, but its just upsetting. The oil pressure gauge seems to stay up in the middle, so thankfully it doesn't look like a main bearing or anything *fingers crossed.*
Thanks for reading and any help or suggestions. Believe it or not, I do realize how hard it is for an online community to diagnose a squeak or noise without actually being there. The sound sometimes sounds to me like a bird's chirp, but of course a little deeper and enginey-sounding. Then again, that may make this more confusing. My Sport and I thank everyone for their help
