this so easy a rookie can do it??? i am definitely a rookie

Just a very tight space. Take your time and closely follow the link in post #2. Have you confirmed it's the lower housing?

no i dunno how to confirm what it is, i cant see where its from

yup, just verified it....i dont think its a crack i think its the gasket....my wife stepped the gas and it spewed from between the upper and lower housing.....think maybe i could just replace the gasket??

Unless you want to do it twice, replace the housing. Some made that mistake although it's easier the second time. ;)

okok, sorry to ask but can u gimme a link to exactly what i need to buy??

Driver side take a pic of the sensors from under the black SOHC cover.

when i took off the throttle body i cracked the shielding around the throttle cable but the cable is just fine....hope that doesnt hurt anything

Be careful reinstalling self tapping screws on the plastic parts, very easy to strip threads. Do you have one or two sensors? If one is unplugged only four parts are needed for basic repair. Motorcraft RH148 one sensor housing, DY1004 ECT sensor, RG614 housing gasket, and a Fel-Pro 35617 thermostat gasket. New sensor is needed because your old o-ring seal is flattened and won't seal properly in the replacement lower housing. (New o-ring is 2.5mm thick x 9mm I.D.)

Cool. Get the four parts in post #14 and report back. Avoid the Ford dealer if at all possible. Gouge.
