Can't open rear tailgate

I just recently picked up a 2001 Sport and the power locks won't unlock the tailgate or glass. I don't have a key for the doors or tailgate, my ignition key doesn't work on them. Does anyone have any ideas on how I can get it open so that I can fix it.

The inside panel will come off with the gate closed,but it's a tight fit and you will have to cut the plastic that surrounds the hatch glass latch if you cant get that open.Pull it loose from the top first and it will have to be lifted up.

It has plastic fingers that slide down into slots,you have to lift it out,not pull it out.Then you can unlock it with a screwdriver by pushing the tab to the right (?) I think,you will see how it works.

Just so you know the power lock actuator is $75 or so and dealer only,if the lock is froze up and can't be freed up it's $145 for the assy.
