Just as it says, I searched here and on the interweb and didn't find anything. I can't lock or unlock the doors if I have the drivers door open. Using the unlock all deal. I'm fairly certain that this worked before I know I've opened the door and unlocked the other doors before. I have had the battery disconnected recently when putting in new coil packs.

The junction box between the body and the door houses all the wiring going to the door. Sounds to me like there's a bad connection somewhere in that box. Pop it open and check it out.

you prbly have a broken wire in the plug in the driver's door jam. i find it easier to remove the door to work in this area.

I agree with previous posts, most likely a wire broken internally from repeated flexing every time the door is open.

You can also get some slack to work on it by disconnecting the wire bundle from the door control panel. I don't remember exactly how the arm rest attaches there but I think there were some plastic friction/lock tabs built into it, tabs which would be less likely to break when flexed if it's a warm rather than cold day.

If it is the wire, you can just solder it together at the break and insulate it, but the repair will last longer if you add a new piece of high-strand wire so you can place the rigid, soldered areas in the door and body where they won't flex when you open and close the door.
