To the right of the "45" in the link's picture, slightly below the bellhousing is an un-numbered rectangular looking object. That thar be the boot, maties. There are actually 4 other, smaller holes in the housing to vent heat from the clutch, if memory serves me correctly.. Guess moisture's going to get in there no matter what. I'd still like to keep mud from having a 5th avenue into my clutch, though. I've actually developed an almost... IzWackian... hatred of mud now, and will try to avoid it as much as possible. Water crossings are my downfall, however-- I love the SS Explorer feel :)

Uhm.. thanks? I haven't the slightest idea how to weld, though. Most everybody is too afraid that I'll catch their shop on fire to teach me :D

lol

oh my bad i thought you welded those part but i guess it wast you doing the inverted weld on the first sent of pics. woops feel like a dumbass now lol

a/s/l?

XD @ Section

Oh, and I figured out my trans gremlin. It wasn't the trans at all, but the stupid rubber mount that was bad. Hur dur dur durrrrrr  The rubber wasn't even connected to the metal anymore so the trans was pretty much doing the Macarena at all times. Much better now, but I killed the shift forks from letting the m5od wiggle around so much. They're on my to-do list :p:

you asking me a/s/l

if so i am male 25 indiana

...Spa's is now running her own dating site...

duggy... just thought i should throw this out there... it was section who asked you that.... and i believe he has a penis....

Thats funny, I just replaced my trans mount too :p:

Well what the hell, man! You coulda gone for a two-fer :p: J/k. Did you ever make it out to western PA to wheel with that club?

Jay.. we're not really sure about His Sectioness sometimes

:D

I keep forgetting to update Morgan's thread, woops!

I went back to Maaco the week before the All Ford Nationals because my "stealthy" paintjob had officially faded to white on his roof. There was no way I was going to a huge car show with a powdered donut of an Explorer. I decided to have him painted the color of Blackjack's platinum grey fender flares so I could slap black stripes on him and have the "photo negative" Explorer I've always wanted. Maaco uses a yellowish clearcoat, unfortunately, so the end result is more brownish grey than I like.. but it's close enough ;) This time Morgan got normal paint instead of that rat rod semi-gloss, because I'm not going through this fading paint crap again! I has shiny dents, lolz. I ran out of time before Carlisle to get his stripes on, but they're there now (albeit a little crooked on the hatch... but whatever. Spare tire covers it up anyway).

Oh, and I peeled my diff cover back again on Rausch Creek's "Gauntlet" At Jake's advice I ordered this beast, which was at my door step in 2 days. Ruff Stuff has some excellent customer service :) (Sorry JT, I would've loved a Rockcrusher cover but I was hard pressed for time because the diff was losing a quart a day!) Mmm, beefy!

I had a really hard time trying to get up this.. didn't realize at the time that my transfer case was a quart and a half low. I think Rookie's old 1354 is on its way out anyway- my low range doesn't seem as effective these days. Oh boy, another addition to the "fix it" list :rolleyes"

It also led to a few burnt clutch moments on Tombstone:

I was really tickled on the teeter totter though.. I'm the first person to get it to balance perfectly AND hold it! Usually the damn thing just bounces back and forth :)

And lastly, my new obnoxious wheeling shirt

wish my truck looked like that :( will you put a d44 under mine? lol

I think that's all it holds! Nah, but the T-case doesn't hold much though.

Truck looks great:D

Good call on the cover. Did you use the PBB 10 code? for a discount?

Nyahh, I forgot about the discount. $120 shipped seemed acceptable.

Alos, I thought that one climb was rather easy :D

Hey Jake! Look over there! It's a naked woman! *steals Jake's doubler, tires and front suspension*

Db, Premier, thanks :) And no I'm not ever doing another d44 swap so long as I can help it!
