Just wondering if you guys have ever done a CARFAX on your ex. I just did one and all this crap came up that is false to my knowledge. I bought it in 98 and have moved around a bit. One thing on there says new title issued and new owner in AZ in 2004. Then it does not show my ownership only the AZ ownership of 2 yrs 9 mo. What is this VIN fraud? You guys ever hear of this? Should I report something? A little scary.

thats wild, so it dont even show your ownership in your state? I assume you typed your vin in right. I would defenatly contact someone about it.

don't know about your case, but i carfax many times cars and i found many horrific stories behind them(odometer rollback, salvage titles etc)

i trust carfax and if i find anything wrong with my car i will report it immitietly. if you bought your car from a dealer and you found later that something is wrong with miles or ownerships you can take it back.

you are the man.

just doing what i can for our fellow explorers, lol. i'll go on ebay and run reports on explorers that say they have like 50k or 60k original miles but when i check the report the odometer has already rolled over already, I found our 20 older chevy cars and trucks advertising under 100k when the report says the odometer has already rolled over before, so watch out! exspecaily if you have a 1st gen explorer with 5 digit odometer.

well yeah everything is right except this AZ ownership and DMV info. It has me as a CA owner just the wrong number of years. I know for a fact the title and registration were always the same the entire time I have had it registered here since 2002.

Just fyi, the owner of the site (Rick) has a policy of no sharing Carfax reports on this site.

hey jeff just wondering why?

IIRC it has to do with legal reasons with Carfax and them considering it to be an abuse of their contract with the person who paid for the Carfax reports. Rick would be a better person to ask than I am. He is the one that set the policy

for that 11 months in arizona it shows up as a lease, you never leased this vehicle right?
