I want to throw the carpet away that's in my truck. I'm sick of cleaning the mud off of it. What I want to do is to replace the whole floor with rubber or plastic.

How hard would this be to do?

Would the floor from a Sport trac fit maybe?

What kind of shop would I have to go to get one custom-made?

Thanks in advance for any help you can give.

Have you thought about getting a nice spray-in bedliner? Both Line-X and Rhinoliners will work in the inside.

Ohhhhh I hadn't thought of that. Man that would be so sweet. But I'm not sure if any shops around here would be willing to do that.

Well I think it will cost a pretty penny but you could get some drain plugs in it and then you will just have to hose it out.

You can do it yourself.
How so AL? I wasn't aware of any do-it-yourself spray on bedliner kits.

like herculiner? that would deffinetely be cheaper and that is only available in black correct?

I'd rather not do that for 2 reasons.

1.I want a uniform look.
2.I want it in grey

Be warned: It would not be surprising for a place to want over 1000 to do the whole floor of the X

Concrete is grey, and pretty durable. :D

Curtis please tell me where I can find this gray herculiner. Oh man, you've got the gears spinning in my head now.

Looks like a good summer project then. Thanks for all the suggestions.

Herculiner rolls on and is very uniform and considerably easy process especially on the wallet. Talk to Trckmagic he did is.

that sounds like a cool idea. i might do the same thing when i build up my explorer for offroading? do you think that the spray on bedliner that wal-mart sells would work?

I used the spray on Duraliner from Walmart for my frame, but it is no where near as strong as Herculiner. I have used the spray and roll on duraliner on a trailer I have, and it didn't last very long. It fades real quick in the sun too.
