Carpet Replacement?

I just replaced my carpet with vinyl flooring. I found a place www.autostyles.com and they sell replacement carpet and vinyl floor. I am not completely done getting all the interior stuff back in, but I can post some pics if you would like.

It did not turn out as well as i had liked, but that could probably be attributed to the fact that it was freaking hot and I wanted to get it done. I had to trim off a lot of vinyl, as you can see in the pics, to get it to fit. The back turned out great, but the front, because of the tranny hump, did not come out as smooth. I still have to work with it a bit and put my console back in and I will post some more pics when it is completely done, but for now, here they are!

It does not have any pics on their site of the vinyl. When you are looking at the applications list, where it says to choose the carpet, you can click there and it takes you to a page that shows the different kinds of carpet with the vinyl being on the right. It would probably be easiest to call and order, that is what I did. The vinyl however is $20 more than the carpet, so the total was $170.

So are you happy with it? Any downsides? Does it smell?

No. My brother sprayed that crap in the back of his truck and it began to peel of in just a couple of weeks. (we cleaned the bed really good before spraying) That stuff is crap.

It smells very little, nothing intoxicating or distracting though. I expect that it will eventually go away, because it has diminished since I have put it in. I am pleased with it, I cannot wait to get my console put back in and see what I can concoct (sp?) to get everything fitting just right. Its nice to get in and not worry about getting the floor dirty!
