I am wondering if any of you with a V8 Explorer have had much luck with a Cat-Back system giving you much more power? I'm not sure if it will be worth the money to do it. I am looking for better throttle response.

I just had a muffler shop put my exhaust on for me. I really liked the look of twin tips but name brands ie.Gibson/flowmaster only made sweptside. For about $400 he custom made me twin tips with glasspacks. It now sounds a lot thicker and performace gains in low revs(2000-35000 is definitely there.

I bought 2 Flowmasters like the ones in my Mustang, and took them to a muffler shop and had them weld them in and run duals exiting split rear with chrome tips. I paid about $125 for the mufflers, and the muffler shop charged me $100 for the pipe, tips, and labor. So, mine cost about $225. Awesome sound and It feels like it gained horsepower and torque. I have pics of my exhaust setup in my sig.
