Cat question

Yes, it streams live data in addition to the OBDII codes. You can even set up multiple sensor displays to watch simultaneously while driving if you have a dash mount for your phone.

It works great with all the Android phones I've had, even a spare very old one I no longer had activated (which I use when my hands are filthy, lol)... Just remember that for iphone you need the wifi version.

On the Amazon page it states that these don't do ABS codes but that is incorrect. Forscan app is specifically designed to be able to interpret the Ford proprietary codes in addition to the standard OBDII codes.

Do you have to have a subscription?

It's not subscription based. Forscan and Torque both have free versions. You can use Torque's free version for Android devices like a phone (they call it a demo version) to see live streaming data, or on their product comparison page you can see what additional features you gain by buying the paid Android version, so you only have to buy it once if ever and that costs $6 for Android, or is free for the complete version for a windows device (phone, tablet, laptop, etc).

Here is the download page for the Android free demo version (and all others too):
