Would taking off my cats make my flowmaster 50 series louder. I am not too worried about emissions test because where I live, we don't have any. Would taking them off mess anything up, or should I just leave them on?

Leave them alone; its against the law to remove.

I'll just leave them on. i really don't want to do anything against the law!! Thank you for the reality check!!

If you wanted you could install some hi-flow cats...they have them at Summitracing.com for like 50 or 60 bucks i think.

Unless you are making tons of HP, the stock cat(s) flow just fine.

Ok, guys, forget the law, say you take out your cats how much of a HP increase could we be talking?

NONE. The 4.0 can't possibly flow enough to take advantage of removed cats. All it will do is hinder the performance because you will have no backpressure.

Doubtful if a fraction of a HP will be gained.

ok, :( I idn't want that to be the answer though
