My cd changer hasn't been working right for a while and finally it just quit. I load it with cds and it goes through all 6 and says "no cd". Before I spend $300+ to replace it, is there anything I can do to fix this?

Did you check the connection of it to the HU? It might be loose or something.

I got a '95 and I have the same problem too :fire: I sympathize with you but I havn't found a "cure" for this problem either. help guys? maybe we can rejuvinate this thread. Has anyone else had this problem?

Well there are allot of us that have those CD changers sitting around in closets and garages and such. I know I do. So don't buy a new one from the dealer, ask someone if they want to sell theres. It would save you a ton of money.

But as for the fix, I have no clue. If I wasn't doing a custom stereo install right now I would tell you to send it to me and I would take it to the dealer and have them replace it. My ESP would only charge $100 to get a new one installed.

There is a company called pacific audio that fixed my deck and changer.

http://home.att.net/~pacificaudiotech/

They fixed my changer that had the same problem for 90$ and that included shipping back to me. Works so well now it dosn't skip even while wheeling. (except when you hit the front crossmember on a BFR then your brain skips too)

Note: I'm not advertising for this company I just used their services and they kicked ass :)
