1999 Explorer Limited
Ok, first time posting on these forums, so Hello. :) Now to the problem. I have a 1999 Explorer Limited edition. The radio works fine, but when you turn the vehicle on it says Ejection error on the screen. If you hit the eject button, it will say No CD, then flash Ejection Error after that. Anyone know what the problem might be? I just bought this vehicle and am trying to work some bugs out. This is one of them. Thanks

Scott

other than possibly needing a cleaning? I'd say take it to the stealership maybe...

I tried to put a CD in there, and it won't accept one either.

well your the second person to post that this week (or within 30 days), its not the changer itself, im not sure if the the deck or what... most people with that problem either swapped out the whole deck and changer, or just go on without it

What CD player do you have? i have the Cd/tape combo deck and mine does that occasionally too. It possibly may be cold, so the best thing to do is turn off the cd player, and maybe try to put the cd in. You may have to do this a few times, but it should get it back in order. keep pushing the "eject" and "CD" buttons and it should get going again. it works for me everytime.

Well I pulled it out and was looking at it, and it was serviced in 2001 for some problem unknown to me, but obviously they didn't do a good job fixing it. The CD part flat out doesnt work. I think I am either going to send it in or get another one that has allready had the problems fixed. Turns out I have the unit made by pioneer that has been good for having the screen lights go out etc..

I have a CD/ tape from a 2000. Worked great when I pulled it out. Interested?

BoominXplorer,

Email me if you would at: DustinY@surferie.net about that cass/CD unit! The deck in my '00 Mounty is unfixable. The display was out and a CD was in it when I bought it (and would not eject). I took it apart to fix the display problem to find out that someone pushed too hard on the eject button and broke the printed circuit board. So, I fixed the soldering points for the display. Installed it and now its like a christams tree (every light on the display is on now)
