CD player works but tape deck is fuzzy.

I mentioned this in an earlier post but i thought i would put up a new thread on it. I have the stock radio in my 97 and the CD player works great. All speakers work fine and everything. My tape deck, on the other hand, doesn't do so well. It sounds a little fuzzy but it mostly sounds like its playing out of the passenger side speakers. Anything i can do to try and resolve this? Any advice would be great.

Nah, run a head cleaner cassette through it and see if that help's maybe (I don't know if they even make these any more?)

Ha, yeah they do. They're like 2 bucks. Ill try that out.

Might need to demagnetize the heads. I didn't think anyone still used cassettes anymore. I got rid of mine a long time ago!

I just use it as a desperate alternative to listen to my iPod. Otherwise i wouldn't care.

I think the only tape I've seen floating around the garage yet is a Jimmy Ray cassette.






Also- after further review since it's the first time I've seen the video, I'm not too sure if he's meaner or leaner, but I'm thinkin' he may in fact be an in-betweener.

Ah, tape converter. I thought maybe you were jammin' to Bob Seger on cassette. Although I can't say anything, I just bought a new records for my record player haha.

Id sell you the old stereo from my 97, but to be honest, I never tested the cassette player prior to taking it out.
