CD Player

Has anyone had a CD player that stopped recognizing CD's? Sometime it will and it plays the whole CD. The next CD it does not see and will not play it. It is not the CD's themselves since it does not matter which CD I put in. I tried a lens cleaner, but that had no affect. I am wondering if the laser is out of alignment. Any ideas? Thanks.

id say it is the lens. thats the same thing that is going on in my house stereo, and that is the lens.(LASER) . seems like now a days its cheaper to buy a new one than fix it . Later
