2001 Ranger 2.5L 4 CYL Had fuel pump replaced then Check engine light code P0442 small EVAP leak.Running rough at start better when warm.Replaced gas cap cleared code,than CEL came back on??

I had this on my 98 mountaineer. iirc common cause is a leak at the EVAP purge canister.

I never bothered replacing it, i just kept clearing the code for the 9 months i owned it.
