Center console

[SGR1600]

Does anyone know where I might find some alternate center console units for a '97 XLT? Basicly I want some room for my scanner, maybe a switch pannel, a CB, or whatever else. The stock console has a lot of what I consider wasted space, what with the 2 little trays good for loose crap only. Any tips on what to buy, or how to make something welcome!

Once I get a new one in there, I'd be happy to give you mine. It's the kind that goes all the way up to the dash (which is what I'm trying to get rid of). It's black, I'll try to get a picture up tomorow for you.

Got mine at Walmart. $25 It is a "Clutter Catcher" I think for a minivan. Anyway...it isn't full length so my CB fits in front of it nicely plus it has plenty of cupholders

Yea...that was the main reason it caught my eye. I am happy with mine. Didn't really feel like payin a $100 + for some of those nicer ones

your wanting to get rid of the entire console or just the area thats black and pictured?


i don't think you'll be able to find a replacement console to fit in the area you pictured
