2000 EXPLORER V6 XLT
Hi, I have some unusual door lock problems with my 2000 XLT V6 Explorer.

Symtoms:
1. Both rear doors lock/unlock with remote. Front door buttons just pulse slightly but do not fully retract or extend.
2. Both driver and passenger doors will not lock or unlock with key.
3. Alarm and immobiliser work but front doors do not lock.
I'm hoping this is a relay problem and therefor I will not need to remove the door liners.

Was wondering if anyone has had similar problems and would appreciate any help diagnosing this problem.

Thanks

Sorry, but you almost certainly have to open up door liners. Pulsing indicates that the remote/buttons are TRYING to move actuators; fact that you cannot move linkages even with the key indicates something is jammed/broken/etc. Good luck.
