I just ordered 2 inch lift coil springs for my explorer. when yall change yours, do you just stick a socket and extention down the coil and use a wrench as a backup on the bolt? ive searched but couldnt really find what im looking for. thanks.

1 1/8in deep socket

you shouldnt need the wrench... just unscrew the nut.

ok thanks.

I used extensions when i took mine out...it's really easy though, ust takes abit of muscle :)

You will need several socket extensions to remove the coil as pictured. TIP : keep a floor jack under the axle so you can raise or lower it to compress or extend the spring so the socket will line up.
