Changing headlight lens - PLEASE help.

I have a '91 EB and one of the headlight lenses has melted on the inside. I bought a new pair of headlight lenses off of EBay for $20. The problem is, I'm having trouble getting the headlight lens itself out of that black plastic housing around it. I can't figure out the mechanism that is holding it in place.

Can someone please help me out on this? I have searched EVERYWHERE and have found nothing. I tried to get a Hayne's but the bookstore was out. I am sitting here with one of my headlights ****eyed to the right and it's sad. Please help.

Ok. I have tried this, but it just doesn't work out mechanically. If you've done it before maybe you can see what I mean. What am I missing here?

I can post photos if necessary. I'll do it later today.
