I read once that you can change your own shocks if the car is on level ground. Since the local places (American Car Care Center) won't do it since they have some rule that they only use their own products (I guess that's where they make a buck), I want to put the RS5000s on myself. Has anyone ever done this, and what snags could/will I run into? Thanks!

Well, I don't see any reason it would be different with the 95+ models.....All ya do, is unbolt the old ones, and bolt in the new ones...I've never heard of that in my life, and it doesn't make a bit of sense to me....

Nothing to it..All you need is a basic socket set, metric, and a long screw driver to pop them off with..Take a look before you start, and you may need a small wench, think it's 1/4 for top of front shaft..

Pete, this makes three times today we posted over top of one and other...Great minds do think alike...HEHE

Heck.....I did mine in under an hour......the only tire I had to remove was the spare to get the wrench to turn. They're a snap, but you may want to use some WD40 and let it sit for awile....just for help.

pretty simple, i did all four. starting out is a bit stressful cause i ran into a problem when the socket or wrench didn't fit so i made it fit. anyways do it yourself, its not that hard. i plan on doing the coil springs in the front next week when my eibachs come in :)
