Changing the DRL's to the fog lamps

I'm installing the basic hid lights in my stock headlights, and would like to make my fog lamps (The factory ones) come on as the DRL's instead of the headlights.

I understand that making the hid's work as the daytime running lights will kill the hid ballasts fairly quickly.

Has anyone done this? I would think I just need to find out which wire on the DRL module turns on the headlights, and re-route it to the fog lamp relay.

Sounds easy, but finding the right wires won't be easy.

Help anyone?

Sorry, can't help on the DRL wires as I dont have them.
However, you could do the fog light mod where the fogs can be on anytime the key is on and it would be the same as DRLs.
Just a thought....

I guess I didn't quite understand that thread over in the 'How-To' section.

I thought it the thread was about the fogs being on then the accessory lights are on.

I'll have another look.
