My Explorer has multiple codes:
Its running lean in bank 1 & 2. I would guess there is a leak in exhaust manifold. Q: Would this cause it to run lean? aka let air into exhaust to make the sensors register lean?
I have a speed sensor issue also. There is grinding in front while rear will lock and release causing it to spin faster than actual speed. Q: Is there a specific code for each speed sensor? There is one on transmission and another located elsewhere. I thought there would be 4 but I guess I am wrong.
There is a code for Evap system. I dont know if its a leak or not enough pressure. Q: Is this a fuel system delivery issue?
I also have the battery light on. I know this is an easy resolve but wanted to ask. The battery was bought 6 months ago. No previous issues with charging it until yesterday.
Jumped in the Explorer yesterday to find a low battery with a warning light. Cranked over fine and drove it into town. The gauge stayed low and didnt move. The store tested the battery and it was 65% charged after driving an hour never bumped up from start to shutdown.
Q: Voltage regulator on alternator or bad brushes? Either way I look at it, it might be time to pick up a good used one or new.
Most of this is minor running issues. I just dont like warning lights less alone any gauges to show an issue.
