I am kinda new to the whole explorer thing since I just acquired my 94 Sport from my mother. I spend most of my time working on my mustang but need to fix this explorer since it's now my winter vehicle. Ok here is the problem. The check engine light is on and it is showing MAF voltage low. It was doing this last year and I replaced the MAF and it went out and then came back on with the EGR. Replaced the EGR and then the clutch went out and it set for about 6mos. Well I finally replaced the clutch last weekend and now the light is back on and saying that the MAF voltage is low again. I got another MAF for the car and have not put it on yet wondering if that is what it really needs. I have been doing some searching on here and have been reading about the fuel pressure regulator, lower intake leaking, etc and wondering if this could be an issue with mine as well. Also the O2 is still the original and has about 126K on it but is not showing a code for it. It is also having a small idle surge but not that bad and also a slightly high idle at start up about 1200rpms which leads me to believe that it might be the intake leaking/vacuum leak. I replaced the IAC just before the clutch went out so it's new. Fuel economy does not seem all that bad at the moment but that light just bugs the hell out of me. If anyone could offer some help it would be greatly appreciated. Guess I have another forum besides stangnet to browse now.
