As stated in a previous thread, my Check Engine light came on. Had it scanned and it said it was an EGR code. Someone here told me to post the actual code.
I had it redone today, and the code that came up was: P0401.

Any ideas? I really don't want to go through the entire EGR system piece by piece to figure this out. Did that with an Acura Legend and just drove me insane.

Thanks.

Jes

...If you post the info in your previous thread, they will see it and respond...They probably think you fixed your problem since you haven't re-posted there...;)

For PFE, if the control system cannot open the EGR valve to the desired position, a P0401 will be set. The test is run if there is sufficient vacuum to open the valve, and the requested EVR dutycycle is high (>70%). If EVP sensor voltage: < 0.78 volts when commanded open then P0401 is set.

As you learned from your Acura, it can be difficult to determine the failed component of the EGR system. If you're asking for help I'm confident members will try. If you just want someone to tell you what to replace, I doubt that you have supplied enough information.
