Check Engine Light From Old Oil??

I just had a check engine light come on after a long road trip, im over due for an oil change but have plenty in the vehicle. i was wondering if these things throw a CEL from your oil getting dirty?? im hoping its not something wrong with this thing AGAIN..

Probably not.. I would take it to an Autozone and get it scanned for free if you don't have a OBDII scanner on you or available for you.
