Check Engine Light has a Mind of it's Own!!

The engine light in my explorer keeps coming on going away randomly. I had a check done and the mechanic said his computer shows no problems when hooked up to the computer in the engine. He said it was "Bad Gas"??? I know the gas tank cap is securely tightened and it still comes on??

Any help at all would be greatly apprieciated.

first thing I'd do if you haven't done so already is disconnect your battery for about 15 minutes and then hook it up again. This will clear out any crap in the system. Then if it continues to come up go further. could be a loose wire somewhere, does it come on at any time such as hitting a speed bumb, turning a corner real sharp, anything like that?
