Does the Check Engine Light come on a a preset milage?
I have just over 63,000 and everything seems fine and its running good. Any thoughts before I head to the guy with the code reader?

Just because your engine is running fine, doesn't mean that there is something wrong. Most computer controlled vehicles have what is called a limp mode. This is used when something (sensor) fails. The basic principal behind the limp mode is to get you home. What is does is compensate for a failed component by compairing input from working sensors with a set of fixed parameters, in order to allow the vehicle to stil perform. I recomend having the computer scanned for any codes.

Thanks Mike, I got it checked and it turned out to be an oxygen sensor. Not too bad.
