I saw some of those yesterday for the first time. Truck was backing up and it made me look twice to see what the lights were. They were on a flatbed Ford and it was daylight so I don't know how well they work @ night but they sure got my attention. I would think you could wire the back-ups to an LED flasher and use them as warning lights too.
