Checking transmission fluid level in 2016 Explorer sport!

I'm 6'1 200lbs and can barely reach the cover for the transmission fluid port. I don't have enough grip to turn it. Wife's arms too short- Anyt tricks?

Pull out the air cleaner box that will give you more access.

Thanks, I was looking at that, when it is warm, I will give that a try.

Back off the 8mm (5/16") hose clamp at the filter cover, and remove the 2 8mm bolts holding the fresh air duct to the core support. Break the rubber hose loose, then pull the box straight up & out. While it's out, pull the filter & dump all the accumulated trash out of the bottom of the box.
