what year is the your friends pickup?

you may need an adpater to fill up more than a din space.

also you may need special tools to relaease the stock radio. is there 2 holes on each side of the radio?

ok im not sure what year it is... i know i'll need something else to fill the space but i dont know what. and i dont know about the 4 holes. is there something i can buy to do this and if so how much?

if the radio has the four holes youll need the u clips, they cost under $10. you can usually find them at crutchfield.com. to fill the hole youll need a dash kit, these range from $15 for easy installations, to $150 for not so easy ones, with extra options, if you found out the year, i could tell you EXACTLY what you need, how much, and where to get it.

(like the new ford taurus or escort, they have the oval shaped radio bezel with the air units right on the same bezel, so that kit comes with a new bezel and air controls) ^^ thats the $150 kit

you'll want a harness adaptor, and a HU mounting piece, both available at Circuit City, Best Buy, Crutchfield, and a whole lot other places.....
Depending on the trucks system you may need something else, hopefully its nothing like a ford JBL system.....

ok its a 1978 chevy silverado

bump....
its a 78

ive been trying to get ahold of some info for that truck... when i enter in 78 chevy, i get two options C series and G series truck, does it fall under those 2 categories? im trying to find out what you need for install, since the shop i worked at moved i cant get ahold of the papers for it

c or g? im not sure....

C/K is the pickup truck and G is the van

well then i guess it would be the C/K
