I grinded off the rivets that hold on that crossmember unbolted the shocks and took the whole assembly out...
Next was I used 3.5" by 2" square stock and cut and welded a new crossmember. I then drilled holes where the shock would bolt too and slipped a peice of tubing into the hole and welded it in. I left it sticking out the front about a 1/2 " to allow for more clearance on the upper shock eye. I then welded it to the top of the frame rails. Next I cut a square pice of 3/8" steel and welded into the inside of the frame rail going up to the bottom of the new shock mount to sort of "triangulate" the unit together for more strength.... I will get a better pic of the 3/8" piece and a pic of the shocks bolted in tomorrow for you.....
I just realized, in this pic I hadnt welded in the 3/8" piece yet you can just see where I went right to the top of the frame rail....
