Would a truck with 100k miles need its O2 sensors replaced before getting a chip, since the chip affects the fuel mixture by getting data from the O2 sensors among other places? If it is not needed, do you think it would be worth it just to do it? Would there be any performance pluses when the chip eventually gets installed after replacing the O2 sensors because of the more accurate data? What type of O2 sensors are good(brand names)? Is it worth the money? Thanks in advance for the input.....

an o2 is an o2. I think the only one you can get is a bosch. you can go to the local auto store and pick it up, or go to ford. bosch makes them both. :) As far as the puter chip. I think if your o2s go bad your puter defaults to a rich mixture. So you just waste fuel. thats what happened to me with my chip in at least. So go replace those 02s and save some gas.
