I couldn't find where this rattling or chirping noise was coming from on my 2002 explorer xls 2wd. After changing my serp belt twice(standard belt), I went and bought the Goodyear Gatorback belt and guess what, no noise. It's been a month and the truck is still quiet. Anyone else tried this? I hope it lasts.

Yep. Only belt that should be used on the ford 4.6

Still waiting on mine and idler pulley to ship from Rockauto. I ordered Sunday and they still say awaiting shipment. My other parts I ordered have been shipped and will be here friday.

Yeah, it must be on back order because i couldn't find it except on ebay but an auto store opened in my area and they had it in stock. I paid 33. for it.

Mine finally came unexpected today. I paid a bit over $14 for it, plus shipping, but I had other parts shipped also.

Did you have to take the fan loose to get the belt on. I had to take the 4 bolts out of it to get enough room to get my breaker bar in the tensioner. I also had to change the ribbed idler pulley on the opposite side while in there, bearings were shot and it was wobbling.

No, you don't have to take the fan belt off. I took a 3/8 socket wrench to my tensioner pulley yanked it to make the belt loose and just slide the belt off around the fan. Do the same to put it on. Anyone, it i said anything wrong let me know but that's how i do it.

I didn't think of that, I think I've actually changed some that way before, just forgot about it.
