Dear TPLYNCH,
to be honest: I have no idea - the oil was always changed by the ford dealer. They use Castrol Oil and Motorcraft Filters.

If it still rattles and does it under a load like preignition the dealer and reprogram your pcm and recalibrate the octane adjust to solve this problem.

It is repaired - and silent!

the timing chain at the back of the engine has been replaced - the clatter noise is eventually gone
