Despite how clean I keep my Explorer, I have alway been annoyed at how dirty the previous owner left the carpet. So after 4 years of living with it, I decided what better to do today than clean the carpet. I was going to pull all of the seats out and remove the carpet and clean it on the floor of the garage, but due to me messing up the driver's seatbelt track a while back I had to leave the carpet in.
I was going to show step by step pictures, but I forgot about it until I got everything out. So here are the few pictures I did end up taking.
Here is one of my workspace:
And here is what the interior looked like after the seats and console were pulled. The stain was so bad it actually glued the seat bracket to the carpet.
I also forgot to show finished pictures before I put the seats back in. So here is what the interior looks like after about an hour of scrubbing with resolve carpet cleaner. It isn't spotless, but it looks worlds better than it did before.
