cleaning tires

I did a search on this and didn't find much. What do you all use to clean your tires? If I spray them with armor-all they collect dust/dirt like crazy after a while. Anything out there that makes them shine that doesn't collect dust? I have scrubbed them down with clorox and a brush and that cleans them up pretty good but doesn't give them that shine. Just curious if there is anything out there?

Also, I use Mother's chrome polish on my wheels. Any other recommendations or is this good stuff? I like it but haven't tried anything else.

If you're on a budget, the Eagle One Tire Wet is very good. Get the applicator while getting that too.

If ya want to spend more money, you can get Zaino's tire dressing. The Zaino guys will tell ya. Al, Stephen, Mike, and others... time for your opinions on that.

Eagle One's Never Dull is an excellent chrome polish. I use that on my rims and they look just awesome!

Make sure the tires are clean before you dress them. I use Eimann Fabrik Hi-Intensity cleaner and a Viking tire brush to clean them, then dress them with Zaino Z16. The Z16 is great - low gloss, deep black look and long lasting. As for chrome, I like Wenol chrome polish. Another good one is P21S Multi-Finish Restorer.

bleach white, you can get it at walmart. it cleans very well. than you can get a good shine with most any good product. also pretty inexpensive.

Westley's Bleach White will literally bleach your tires from black sidewall to gray. I've used it religiously a few years ago and it showed so I don't use that anymore. I emptied it out.

What I'd reccommend is Eagle One's Wheel and Tire Cleaner. It's $4.77 a bottle at Wally World (Wal-Mart). It cleans both your tires and rims without harming the surfaces. It's a great product!!

i use it evertime i wash and my side walls arent gray. ive used it for years. maybe it was the tires maybe not but it works for me.

I got some turtle wax tire stuff with a black sponge in a box with a green bottle of stuff. It smelled really good, and this first application leads me to believe this is good stuff. It made my tires nice and shiny and so far after driving to a fro in a construction zone, they dont seem to be picking up dust. I'm highly pleased.

Simple Green and some scrubbing will get them back to black and the letters white really quick and easy. Then any wet/shiny tire product if you want the fresh off the lot look. I dont like many of these though, too dusty down here, just look like crap a day later. The Simple Green works wonders.

Go to your local grocery store and you can pick up some s.o.s pads for $1.80.. and you get 10 pads. one pad will easily clean one tire. and it gets the letters really bright and white again !!

If you want really white walls or letters, Use Westly's Bleach White and a wire brush. Works wonders and is quick and easy!!!

Yep, I usually use the bleach white and either a scrub brush or one of those sponges with the green scrubby thing on one side, those seem to work great to scrub the tire...then after it is dry, I give them a good rub down with armor all...makes em look pretty nice I think

Yes do be careful with the Beach White...

I personally use Simple Green to clean the tires, and then Meguiars Endurance to shine them. It lasts a long time and you can meter the shine you want very easily.

I use Purple Power on all the cars I do, it works really good for the wheel wells and the tires.

i argree, if your on a slim budget get some SOS pads they work great on white lettering. and for blacking the tires TIRE WET i believe by turtle wax as some one said before, it smells like cherries
