My explorer was hit about 6 years back and we had to get the side replaced and I don't think we got it done at the dealership so it wasn't ford parts. But, the problem is that the clear coat on the replacement side is starting to peel. Is there anyhting I can to do prevent it from peeling anymore. And if not, about how much is it to get an explorer repainted, and I mean a good job.
I'd appreciate any help.
Thanks,
Tim

Take it back to the place that did it. If they were referred by your ins company, or are members of the Better Business Bureau, they will probably fix it as an act of "good faith". The worst they can do is say no.

Mine got redone, and the shop has been there awhile and seems reputable. The owner said if at any time his paint job ages faster than the factory paint, he will do it over. Have not had to take him up on it...yet.... knock on wood/ metal/ rust/ bondo!
