Hello everyone.
I have two things going on right now on my Ford Explorer 2006.
One, is a noise that occurs every time (well, most of the time) I press the brakes. There is a loud "CLICK" coming from the front of the car. Perhaps around the caliper area. The brakes are fully functional, and got them serviced (pads and rotors) about 1 year ago. Noise started few months ago.
The other problem is a vibration that occurs after 40 mph and increases as the speed goes up. The vibration could be very smooth or a constant medium vibration you feel mostly in your feet. I have the tires balanced, and aligned. I actually purchased 4 new tires to solve the problem. Did not work. Balanced them again. Still nothing. The vibration seems to be coming from the front of the car. Definitely "not tires". The vibration can be felt on any gear, even neutral. I have been hearing squeaky noises (like old wheels turning) for the past 2 days. Not too laud.
Any suggestions? I appreciate your input.
Thanks
