Hello everyone,

I have used this site before to get info on how to fix my explorer, but this is the first post but I want to thank everyone for the help I have received thus far.

However, I arrived at school this morning, went on the freeway and at this time no problem, but when I pulled into the parking lot, a new sound in the front of the engine started. I looked under the hood and I think it might be the fan, but i am not certain. Does this sound familiar to anyone? Any suggestions would be helpful because I am 10+ miles from home and would like to see what i am dealing with.

Thanks again ahead of time for the help

okay so this is a 1998 Explorer

WHAT ENGINE?

is it a ticking noise? The V8's are notorious for leaking exhaust manifolds

Is the only problem you are having a new noise?

we need to know details about your truck, what engine it has, how many miles, any history and all symptoms you have encountered

Would it be the clutch on the AC compressor? Is it a click every few seconds?
